Jake Romero is a Partner at Echo Partners and founded the firm to serve a segment larger banks overlook: founder-owned healthcare and life sciences companies that deserve a full, competitive process. He leads firm strategy, origination, and coverage, building the market map that puts Echo's clients in front of the complete universe of qualified buyers, sponsors, and capital partners for their sector. Before Echo, Jake spent several years in the lower-middle-market investment banking ecosystem, working with more than 35 banks and private equity firms on the buy-side to design and run deal- sourcing programs across healthcare and life sciences, with direct exposure to how transactions are originated, structured, and closed.

Bryan Saldanha is a Partner at Echo Partners and leads transaction execution across M&A, capital raises, and strategic advisory. He spent nearly a decade in healthcare investment banking, most recently as a Vice President in Healthcare Investment Banking at Canaccord Genuity, where he originated and executed strategic and financial transactions across public and private markets and conducted over 20 due diligence processes on transactions ranging from $50M to $4B in enterprise value, with a specialized focus on medical technology and diagnostics. He holds a B.S. in Management with a concentration in Finance from Boston College.

Pauline Audy is a Junior Analyst at Echo Partners, where she supports the firm's healthcare and life sciences mandates through financial modeling, valuation analysis, and the preparation of investor-ready materials. She partners closely with the deal team across live M&A and capital-raise transactions, contributing to industry research, due diligence workstreams, and the development of client-facing deliverables for healthcare founders and operators.

Helmut Brunar provides Echo Partners with scientific and operational insight, structuring complex licensing deals, CDMO partnerships, and technology acquisitions to advance novel therapeutics. He is a seasoned life sciences executive and licensed business advisor specializing in pharmaceuticals, biotech, and MedTech, with deep R&D and operations expertise in biosimilars, vaccines, gene and cell therapies, and orphan-drug platforms.
Helmut has led large capital investment programs from process qualification through new-site commissioning, managed quality systems and supply chains at scale, and executed in-licensing and out-licensing transactions. With a PhD in Chemical Sciences from the Technical University of Vienna, he combines technical depth with commercial acumen to provide actionable strategic counsel to Echo Partners’ healthcare clients.
